2-Day Workshop for Couples in person

This workshop is for couples who have previously attended the original Art and Science of Love workshop, even if it was one done by a different presenter or the recording by the Gottman’s.

Practice effective skills to improve conflict management and intimacy:

• Reinforce and expand the skills learned through The Art and Science of Love and other Gottman materials
• Increase use and practice of conflict management skills and foster greater intimacy
• Learn how to deal with enduring vulnerability

POST-ASL Courses

Post-ASL Courses take place virtually, once per week, for 8 weeks.

What will be covered in this class?
During the first 2 weeks we are going to work on Building love maps (Getting to know each other deeper). We are going to use the Core Values Index to understand how you and your partner are wired and how that affects your relationship. In the following weeks, we will work on Love Languages and Conflict Management Skills.

Week 1- introduction to the course, refresher from the Sound Relationship House as well as introduction to the Core Values Index (CVI)
Week 2- Deep dive into the CVI
Week 3- Love Languages
Week 4- Building a vision for your relationship
Week 5– Basic Skills of Conflict Management – Softened Start-UP / Repair Checklist
Week 6- More Skills of Conflict Management – Accepting Influence – Dreams within Conflict
Week 7- More Skills of Conflict Management – Combining CVI with Gottman Rapaport
Week 8- More Skills of Conflict Management – Aftermath of a Fight or Regrettable Event
