We’re all feeling it: compounding crises are making this spring extremely difficult for many. America is suffering under a cloud of uncertainty, trauma, and pain. This is incredibly difficult. In this traumatic time, it is more important than ever to keep our families close and spread love where ever we find an opportunity.
Take care of yourself. Have you showered today? Had something to eat? Take a break from the news and try to breathe. Call a loved one. Remember you are loved by many. You matter. Remind someone else of this, and remind yourself. We all want to do what we can to help bring change, but just remember you can only do so much. As hard as it can be — both practically and emotionally — to practice self-care in a time like this, it’s more important than ever. As an act of love for those you want to support, as much as you possibly can: give yourself grace and space. One day at a time.
If you need a little more help through this crisis, our office is open for online therapy appointments. We’re here for you; just give us a call at 503-896-8108.
